Is laser treatment good for skin?
Lasers are great tools that can help improve various
problems of the skin, such as acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots,
and even tattoos and loose skin. In general, the areas heal in five to 21 days,
depending on the nature of the condition that was treated and type of laser
used. Once the areas have healed, makeup may be worn to camouflage the pink to
red color that is generally seen after laser skinresurfacing. During ablative
laser resurfacing, an intense beam of light energy (laser) is directed at your
skin. The laser beam destroys the outer layer of skin (epidermis). At the same
time, the laser heats the underlying skin (dermis), which stimulates collagen
production over time, resulting in better skin tone and texture. Ablative laser
resurfacing typically takes between 30 minutes and two hours, depending on the
technique used and the size of the area treated. This approach usually needs
only one treatment.
Both ways may be delivered with a fragmentary optical maser,
that leaves microscopic columns of untreated tissue throughout the treatment
space. fragmentary lasers were developed to shorten recovery time and cut back
the danger of facet effects.
